Cardinal Krol Center
Admissions
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has licenced the Cardinal Krol Center at Don
Guanella Village for 131 beds. It has operated at capacity since it opened.
There is a waiting list.
Admissions are solely through referral from the Department of Human Services
in Philadelphia and from the Offices of Mental Retardation throughout
Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Volunteers
Volunteers come from all age groups and every occupation. Local high schools
and universities send students to help our men and women. Some college students
volunteer at our sites and receive college credit.
We ask volunteers to do things that they feel most comfortable doing. Some serve
as coaches for the Challenger Baseball League. Taking a walk, reading a story,
helping with arts and crafts activities are some ways you can contribute to the
lives of those we serve.

The Cardinal Krol Center at Don Guanella Village has many exciting positions
currently available, both full- and part-time. Full-time employees receive an
